The facilities of the newspaper El Líder, from the town of San Antonio in the Valparaíso region and belonging to the El Mercurio regional media network, were almost entirely destroyed by protesters against the national government's economic policies.
The organization requested an investigation and immediate results.
Serious and of concern that this decision will create the precedent that the media must ask permission to publish public facts of those affected, "a kind of prior censorship in practice."
