the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is debating bills which, being intended to draw up regulations governing journalistic behavior and ethics, would harm the right of freedom of expression
the International Federation of Newspaper Publishers (FIEJ) has strongly protested such action
THE 49TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE IAPA RESOLVES
to join the protest by FIEJ
to inform the Council of Europe of its concern at this threat to freedom of expression
to urge that the proposed regulations be thrown out.
