HAITI WHEREAS • a military coup has interrupted the democratic process in Haiti, replacing a government of law with one of force • the military forces who hold power in Haiti have suppressed the Haitian people's right to know the truth • the press and the radio have suffered severe measures of repression, which include the closure or destruction of the media THE 47th GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE IAPA RESOLVES • to condemn the military coup in Haiti • to call on IAPA members to condemn this serious attack on freedom oí the press.
