In many cases the police inquiries and legal proceedings become inexplicably paralyzed. That is why we take the liberty of calling your attention to the death of Mr. Guillermo Bravo Vega, a commentator of Canal 2 in Neiva, Huila. Bravo on camera exposed corruption and was a harsh critic of the privatization of the Huila Distillery. He was murdered on April 25, 2003. For five years now specialist groups engaged to investigate this crime have failed to come up with any results. We would respectfully request your intervention, Mr. President, in the sense that you order a speed-up in the investigation so as to have this crime solved and the guilty brought to justice. Only in that way will the death of Bravo Vega not become just another statistic in the list of unsolved murders in the hemisphere. Sincerely,
