IAPA opens call for applications by journalists for scholarships
MIAMI, Florida (October 8, 2015)The Inter American Press Association (IAPA) Scholarship Fund announced the start of the period for journalists in the Western Hemisphere to apply for scholarships for postgraduate study in Latin America, the Caribbean or North America.
MIAMI, Florida (October 8, 2015)The Inter American Press Association (IAPA) Scholarship Fund announced the start of the period for journalists in the Western Hemisphere to apply for scholarships for postgraduate study in Latin America, the Caribbean or North America.
The scholarships, worth $20,000 each, cover an academic year at a university for journalists from Latin America or the Caribbean to study at accredited schools of journalism in the United States or Canada, while those from North America do so at Latin American or Caribbean universities.
Applicants should be journalists, be aged between 21 and 35, and be fluent in the language of the country where they are going to study.
The deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2015. Applicants to be awarded the scholarships will be chosen during the IAPA Midyear Meeting to be held April 2016 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
