The Inter American Press Association (IAPA) received on 9 February, four officials from the United States Department of State at its headquarters in the city of Doral.


Guillermo Zuloaga Siso, a member of the IAPA Board of Directors of TV Venezuela, Miami, Florida and Ricardo Trotti, executive director of the organization, discussed the policies of the State Department and the situation of press freedom in several countries of the region with Mara Tekack, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Diplomacy of the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs; Lydia Barraza, Director and Spokesperson of the Bureau of Public Affairs of the Office of International Media Engagement; Katherine Caro, Portuguese Spokesperson of the Office of International Media Engagement and Isabel Malowany, Deputy Director Media HUB of the Americas.
