Dominican journalist, champion of press freedom in the Americas. Director-Editor of El Caribe, of Santo Domingo. Exiled in Puerto Rico when persecuted by the dictatorship of Trujillo. Shortly before his death, after enduring a long illness, he had been appointed by the IAPA as Honorary Life President of the Committee on Freedom of the Press and Information.
