Miami (August 10, 2022) - Madrid's famed IE Business School of the IE University will offer delegates of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) an academic program on digital transformation prior to the start of the organization's 78th General Assembly.
The assembly will be held at the Hotel Meliá Castilla in Madrid from October 27-30. The IE University IE Business School course will be held at the IE Tower in Madrid on Wednesday, October 26. Spaces will be limited and only available to delegates registered for the Assembly. Details and registration for this course will be available soon.
The course will consist of three academic sessions (4 hours and 30 minutes in total) and a tour of the university building. Lunch is included.
The 78th IAPA General Assembly will begin on Thursday, October 27, at 9:00 a.m. and will end on Sunday, October 30, at 5:00 p.m. An outline of the preliminary program can be found here.
The program includes panels on press freedom in the Americas, the economic sustainability of the media and its relationship with large digital platforms, success stories on how the media is transforming culture and how private companies must commit to democracy, among other topics.
The IAPA began receiving registrations for its 78th General Assembly, which will mark a high-profile return to face-to-face activities after three years of virtual meetings due to the pandemic.
