WHEREAS
Julio Eduardo Muñoz has served the Inter American Press Association for 32 years with loyalty and commitment to the cause of freedom of expression and of the press in the Americas;
WHEREAS
since 1994 he has worked as the organization's executive director;
WHEREAS
he also was head of the IAPA Press Institute;
WHEREAS
in December 2014 he will retire as executive director of the IAPA,
THE IAPA GENERAL ASSEMBLY RESOLVES
to express the most sincere and warmest gratitude to Julio E. Muñoz for his dedication, determination, vigor and effectiveness in the role of executive director of the organization in the last 20 years,
to declare him honorary life member of the Inter American Press Association.
