Lawyer, politician and Costa Rican writer. Director of Diario de Costa Rica (1928-1934) and in another period director-manager of La Nación. Being a deputy, he was president of the Congress. Consul General in New York and Special Ambassador in Mexico. He died in a plane crash in 1967 when he was going to participate in the IAPA assembly in San Juan.
