Miami (July 2, 2025) - With an agenda of high-level presentations and three practical workshops on artificial intelligence applied to the media industry, the SIPConnect 2025 conference will bring together a large group of experts and industry leaders from the Americas and Europe in Miami, July 15-18. The meeting will discuss the challenges and potential of journalism in a scenario of accelerated innovation and digital transformation. See the conference program here.
The three intensive and differentiated workshops will address the strategic use of AI for journalists, editors and media managers, offering tools to transform their newsrooms, optimize processes and strengthen business sustainability. AI will not only be a topic of conversation but a practical, collaborative and applied experience to the challenges of newsrooms.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 15, attendees will dive into NotebookLM, an innovative Google AI-powered tool that helps create scripts, articles, newsletters, and podcasts using personalized, trustworthy information. Led by Mariana Alvarado, journalist and Google News Initiative trainer, this workshop—offered exclusively in Spanish—will allow participants to explore how the tool can accelerate content production without compromising quality or editorial integrity.
On Wednesday, July 16 at 5 PM, digital transformation and business consultant Néstor Altuve will lead a strategic workshop for executives, editors, and innovation leads. The focus: integrating AI into sustainable business models, with emphasis on monetization, new product development, and cost reduction. A must-attend session for those looking to turn technological disruption into a growth opportunity.
Finally, on the morning of Friday, July 18, Argentine journalist and consultant Álvaro Liuzzi will lead the AI First Bootcamp, an intensive, hands-on experience designed to rethink newsroom operations through creativity, strategy, and editorial judgment. Through real-life exercises and solution design, participants will learn to craft effective prompts, adapt workflows, and make informed decisions about emerging technologies.
With these three workshops, along with panels and sessions featuring regional media leaders, SIPConnect 2025 reaffirms its role as the place where innovation, artificial intelligence, and journalism converge to shape the future of media together.
