Miami (14 de julio de 2025) — More than 160 journalists, editors, media owners and entrepreneurs from 19 countries in the Americas and Europe have registered for the SIPConnect 2025 conference that will begin in Miami next week, in search of a sustainable future for the news industry in constant technological disruption.

Held under the theme “Reinventing the Future of Media,” the conference offers a robust, diverse, and hands-on program structured around three core pillars: Explore, Co-Create, and Connect. Over the course of three days, attendees will participate in keynote presentations, strategic panels, case studies, interactive labs, and immersive workshops led by experts in generative AI, editorial strategy, audience development, business models, emerging narratives, and press freedom.

Registration is available through this link on the IAPA website.

A key focus will be the impact of artificial intelligence on editorial workflows, journalistic ethics, and newsroom innovation. AI will not only be a topic of discussion but a practical and collaborative experience, with three hands-on workshops tailored for journalists, editors, and media leaders.

On Tuesday, July 15 in the afternoon, NotebookLM, Google’s AI-powered tool, will be presented in a Spanish-language workshop led by Mariana Alvarado of Google News Initiative. On Wednesday, July 16, Néstor Altuve will lead a strategic session on integrating AI into sustainable business models. Finally, on Friday, July 18 in the morning, Álvaro Liuzzi will lead the IA First bootcamp, part of the Redacciones5G program, offering an immersive experience to redesign newsroom workflows through creativity, strategic thinking, and journalistic judgment.

SIPConnect 2025 is organized by the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) with the generous support of international sponsors that strengthen the conference’s innovative focus: Google News Initiative, Knight Foundation, Protecmedia, TV Azteca, Infobae, Telemundo, Telecom Argentina, Organización Editorial Mexicana (OEM), Xalok, Hermanos Castillo, The Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at FIU, EFE News Agency, The New York Times, Chartbeat, Gráficos Nacionales S.A., Novel News, RC Noticias, Noticias SIN, and Veedor Digital.
