57th General Assembly Washington, DC October 12 – 16, 2001 APPRECIATION WHEREAS our Host Committee, chaired by Donald E. Graham of The Washington Post Company and Peter R. Kann of Dow Jones & Company and including Diana Daniels of The Washington Post Company and Edward Schumacher and William E. Casey of The Wall Street Journal provided a hospitable and friendly environment conducive to professional and social activities WHEREAS World Bank President James Wolfensohn, Inter-American Development Bank President Enrique Iglesias, The Washington Post Assistant Managing Editor Bob Woodward, AOL Time Warner Chairman Steve Case and U.S. Under Secretary of State Marc Grossman accepted the invitation of the Association to address the members and their guests WHEREAS Michael Smith, Christopher Schroeder, L.
