SUPPORT AND REDRESS WHEREAS former president of the Inter American Press Association Dr. Alejandro Miró Quesada Garland is the target of a series of slanderous and libelous attacks via news organizations linked to the government of Peru WHEREAS these attacks seek to tarnish the standing of the prominent journalist and IAPA officer, with the aim at the same time of undermining the authority, independence and status of the El Comercio newspaper THE IAPA EXECUTIVE BOARD RESOLVES unanimously by acclamation to pass a vote for the redress and in support of its former president Dr. Alejandro Miró Quesada Garland.
