problems for Pope John Paul II's trip to Cuba this coming January
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE lAPA RESOLVES
to strongly condemn resolution 144-97 issued August 4 by the Cuban Foreign Commerce Ministry restricting the capacity of the country's churches to legally obtaln computer equipment, photocopiers, and fax machines, and to demand that Cuba immediately annul this regulation so that the visit of
John Paul II to Cuba can take place with ali the facilities that the churches and the Cuban people deserve.
