WHEREAS, during this month of October, the United Nations Organization (UN) must designate two new members of the Human Rights Council

WHEREAS it is known that the Venezuelan regime, led by Nicolás Maduro, performs lobbying actions to obtain the appointment of one of its members in this Council

WHEREAS Nicolás Maduro's regime has an extensive record of violation of Human Rights and freedoms in Venezuela

WHEREAS the report presented by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, after her visit to Venezuela, contains strong complaints that evidence the violation of human rights by the regime of Nicolás Maduro

WHEREAS principle 1 of the Declaration of Chapultepec states: "There are no free persons or societies without freedom of expression and of the press. The exercise of this is not a concession from the authorities; it is an inalienable right of the people "

WHEREAS principle 2 of the Declaration of Chapultepec states: "Everyone has the right to seek and receive information, express opinions and disseminate them freely. Nobody can restrict or deny these rights".

THE 75th GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE IAPA RESOLVES

Make a call to the world democratic community to prevent the regime that governs Venezuela and that is openly unaware of the exercise of human rights in the country, designate a representative that integrates the UN Human Rights Commission.
