WHEREAS, several lawsuits are underway involving Natalia Zuccolillo - editor of the ABC Color newspaper - and journalist Juan Carlos Lezcano, for publications related to alleged irregularities committed by public officials and former legislators in the exercise of their duties;
WHEREAS, these lawsuits filed against media outlets are aimed at intimidating and exercising censorship upon the work of the press;
WHEREAS, there have been cases of death threats and systematic attacks on social networks aimed at discrediting the work and oversight role of the press.
THE 77th IAPA GENERAL ASSEMBLY RESOLVES
To strongly condemn the new attempts at censorship and intimidation carried out by power groups using the justice system as a tool.
