The next IAPA Midyear Meeting will be held March 31 to April 3 in Antigua, Guatemala, and the principal organizers of the event will be sending an invitation to the participants in the 72nd General Assembly for them also to go to that beautiful Central American nation and continue to give their support for freedom of expression.
Host Committee Chairman Rolando Archilla, Publinews, Guatemala City, and Margarita de Klanderud, in charge of the event's logistics, will in their invitation present videos of Antigua and Guatemala.
The Host Committee has chosen two hotels – Museo Casa Santo Domingo Hotel, an old convent of the Dominican order, as the venue, and also the Colonial-style Camino Real Hotel, a few blocks away.
The IAPA 60th General Assembly was held in 2004 in the same city, one of the main Guatemalan tourism centers 16 miles from the capital. Antigua 37 years ago was declared a World Heritage Site. n
