James McClatchy (1991-1992) McClatchy Newspapers, Sacramento, CA
He was a journalist in the McClatchy newspaper, including The Fresno Bee and The Sacramento Bee. He then served as editor from 1987 to 2005. President of the company since 1980. From his time as a reporter he focused his work on oppressive working conditions for migrants, military operations in the Pacific and the initiative to make Hawaii become in a state. He died in 2006.
