WHEREAS
in recent years various bills have been submitted to Congress that pose a serious threat to freedom of the press
although some of these bills have been voted down, their authors have announced they plan to reintroduce them
THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE IAPA RESOLVES
to urge the Chilean Congress to show its endorsement of freedom of the press by voting down any future initiatives that attempt to limit or undermine it.
