The 6th Global Summit on Disinformation will take place on May 27 and 28, 2026, in an online format and free of charge. In this context, the Organizing Committee is officially opening the call for entries for its Project Round, which will include initiatives, organizations, and teams wishing to present completed or ongoing projects, share successful experiences, or showcase technological developments for the detection and verification of false information.

The selected projects will be presented during the summit, which has two central themes:
• Disinformation and Climate Change,
• Disinformation and Health.
Individuals, organizations, and teams interested in presenting projects related to the proposed themes and the fight against disinformation may apply.
The application period runs from April 1 to May 2, 2026. The selected projects will be announced starting May 9.

“The Project Showcase provides an opportunity to highlight innovative initiatives and create a space for practical discussion on how to tackle disinformation in different contexts,” says Adrián Pino, executive director of Proyecto Desconfío and a member of the Organizing Committee of the Global Summit on Disinformation.
Organized by the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA), Proyecto Desconfío (Argentina), and the Foundation for Journalism (Bolivia), the Summit has established itself as one of the leading international forums for dialogue on strategies to address information manipulation, artificial intelligence, and the production of synthetic content.
