Far from being mere tools that randomly repeat words without true understanding, artificial intelligence has reached a level of complex reasoning that is redefining the day-to-day operations of journalistic newsrooms. According to Sancha, we are experiencing a “Kasparov moment”: the point at which, as occurred in a chess match in 1997, an artificial intelligence system surpasses human capabilities in complex reasoning tasks. This phenomenon is no longer limited to cybersecurity, where models have managed to break through secure environments, but has now fully entered newsrooms.

During high-intensity news events, the technology enabled teams to generate a large volume of valuable content, identifying even news angles that might otherwise have been missed, while increasing productivity and traffic.
