Miami (April 24, 2025) — The Inter American Press Association (IAPA) and Google announced today the media outlets selected to receive funding in the second cohort of the Digital Revenue Accelerator, a program that has already benefited over 40 media organizations in Latin America through technical assistance, specialized mentorship, and personalized support in digital monetization.
More than 50% of participants have also received financial resources to develop strategic projects. Each media outlet has been eligible to receive implementation grants of up to $30,000 to develop solutions that strengthen their financial sustainability — such as technological upgrades, new commercial products, or adjustments to their digital operations.
With this new round of support, the program reinforces its core mission: to assist news organizations in Central and South America in improving their revenue strategies within complex and ever-changing digital environments.

“The Digital Revenue Accelerator reflects Google’s commitment to supporting the sustainability of the news ecosystem across all Latin American markets,” said Rodrigo Bonilla, Head of News Partnerships for Spanish-speaking Latin America at Google. “We believe this project is fulfilling its mission: strengthening the monetization strategies of each participating outlet through expert guidance and concrete solutions.”
The program has been developed by Marktube Group using a methodology that combines group sessions with personalized mentoring. Each outlet has received tailored advice on the development of advertising models, with a focus on monetization strategies adapted to their specific context and internal capacities.
“What makes this program so powerful is the combination of strategic support, actionable solutions, and a peer learning community,” said Ezequiel Arbusti, CEO and founder of Marktube Group.
The Digital Revenue Accelerator will continue through August 2025, with additional phases focused on impact assessment and knowledge sharing. For IAPA and its partners, this program is a tangible effort within their strategic collaboration with Google to strengthen independent journalism in the region through a foundation of economic sustainability.
