Miami (May 18, 2023) - Media and communications professionals from North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain have until June 30 to submit their work to the Inter American Press Association's (IAPA) Excellence in Journalism 2023 contest.
The contest includes 14 categories for works published in Spanish, English, and Portuguese since July 1, 2022, in print media, digital natives, and online publications of radio and television stations. The first prize in each of these categories will be US$2,000.
For the first time, the organization is inviting to submit nominations for four new award categories that recognize leadership and innovation in the business sector in the following categories: Transformational Sustainability, Digital Transformation, Great Friend of the Press, and Executive of the Year.
The awards ceremony will be held in Mexico City in November 2023, during the 79th IAPA General Assembly, where the Grand Prize for Press Freedom will also be presented to an individual or organization with significant achievements in favor of this cause.
